  • Dual Probe Microprocessor Radiation Survey Meter

Innovative micro-processor circuitry automatically controls standard operating functions. Important features include automatic ranging, dead time compensation, probe linearisation and self diagnostics.

Models available with either single (see Model MRSS) or dual probe inputs (Model MRSD). Dual probe inputs allow immediate selection between GM probe and scintillation detector. Ideal model for detecting both 125I and beta emitters. Probes available separately.
    Specifications

  • Rad Monitor™ Model GM1

Model GM1 detects contamination from radioisotopes commonly used in research laboratories. GM tube detector has a total effective area of 28.5mm (1.125 inches) and a window thickness of 1.5-2.0 mg/cm2. Unique thin screen protects the end window and provides 86% open area for maximum sensitivity.
    Specifications

  • Rad Monitor™ Model GM2

Model GM2 features a large diameter thin end window GM tube with a total effective area of 45mm (1.75”) and a window thickness of 1.5-2.0 mg/cm2. This detector provides the highest sensitivity for detecting soft beta emitters such as 14C and 35S. Ideal for monitoring hands, clothing, and benchtops.
    Specifications

  • Rad Monitor™ Model GM2-P

Model GM2-P features a “pancake” style detector with a rubberized grip handle. Large diameter GM tube is mounted at a slight angle for convenient surface monitoring.
    Specifications

  • Rad Monitor™ Model SD10

Model SD10 features a high sensitivity scintillation probe for detecting low energy gamma emitters such as Iodine-125. Sodium iodide probes have also demonstrated superior performance to GM instruments for detecting 32P contamination1. The detector utilizes a fast response photomultiplier tube and a 1” x 2mm thick sodium iodide crystal with a thin 1 mil (7 mg/cm2) aluminum window. Suitable for thyroid monitoring of 125I uptake.
